President's Update #4 10/21/2011
Attention to Our Faithful Supporters! We are enjoying this great opportunity here in Anchorage for the Alaska Federation of Natives! (AFN) We are connecting with so many leaders of Villages and Corporations. There is no doubt that we are at the right place at the right time. Operating in this arena may be a large step from the usual ministry protocols, but God's favor on our participation at AFN is confirming as well as encouraging. Counting the Costs: Yes, this event is costly, but the real costs is in meals, lodging, and vehicle fuel for this large team of ministers. We know we are here for a reason, and we know that the people we are ministering to are worth the cost. Two days before departure, we didn't even have the finances for the fuel to head south to Anchorage, and by the time we left, the money was there! PTL! We absolutely know that Father God will provide for the remainder of this ministry window, the question is... Who will He will use? Invest! Will you consider making a donation Today? Greetings from North Pole Alaska! What an exciting summer of ministry! Camp Nahshii continues to grow each year. Camp attendance nearly tripled this summer! We would not have been able to host and minister to this many Native Youth at camp without all of you who gave towards this ministry. Seasons change quickly here in Alaska. Salmon and moose are in the freezer, and the snow is falling as I write this up-date. Our attention is now focused to the Anchorage area. We will have a ministry promotional booth at AFN (Alaska Federation of Natives) this fantastic opportunity will be followed by a Youth Conference in October. TGM teams will minister in several villages in the coming weeks and months as well. We are very excited for the doors the Lord has opened for TGM! What exciting times these are to be Building the Kingdom of Heaven! In my last post I spoke of our “vision expanding” and that is exactly what is happening! And with this expansion God is bringing in the workers!  In the last two weeks our ministry team and doubled! A young man who has ministered with TGM over the last year, recently was given direction from the Lord to quit his job, move north and join the vision of TGM! We are so excited to have Clarence Goward 3rd as a part of this ministry team! Clarence hit the ground running, as he jumped in a van only a few hours after arriving in North Pole and traveled with us to Minto for ministry.  Stephen and Damita Duplantis are not strangers to this team. This couple worked with us in youth ministry many years ago and just recently responded to that same call of God to sell it all, lighten up the load and by faith, move their family of five on a wild trek north to join this radical bunch called TGM! Like Clarence, they add to this team a wealth of giftings and experience. We are so overwhelmed at their obedience to graft into TGM.  They all have jumped right into the mix (Clarence actually jumped in) of ministry focus this summer. As I write this, we are on the Yukon River in the Village of Fort Yukon. We have been ministering here this weekend on our way with gear, tools and supplies to Camp Nahshii for the 3rd phase of development. I’m currently receiving weather up-dates from our boat team. When they say the storm has passed and the river safe, then down river this boat convoy will go! We are very excited to see all the fantastic work teams this month and can hardly wait to see all those Incredible Native Youth of the Yukon Flats Region! When our Heavenly Father downloads his Kingdom building vision to us, it can literally overwhelm our mind. Our human thinking must process such massive concepts through faith, and faith alone, or that vision can be chipped away by our logic and fear. The vision God has given me for TGM is ever growing. It’s as if, this vision expands as our faith expands. I can speak for myself as well as this ministry team, when I say, our faith has been growing! God has been supernaturally growing every measure of faith that we put into action! We are so very excited for what God has done and is about to do with TGM!  In April TGM provided the Warrior Generation Conference in the Wasilla area. Hundreds of young people were given the tools to find emotional healing and relational alignment. When this generation has the opportunity to raise up a standard, they will, and this new posture with set them up for relational success and empower them to ignite a Relational Revolution!  We are now shifting our focus North. The first of June starts our trek to the Yukon River. We will load the boats down with tools, equipment and supplies to set up base camp at Camp Nahshii. We will literally relocate our TGM office and it’s operations to this camp for two months. June will be filled with work teams taking this camp through it’s 3rd expansion phase and July busy with hands on ministry to the indigenous youth of the Yukon Flats Region. We are very excited about the great things God is doing in the lives of these youth through this camp. Most who read this can not personally venture to this very remote Alaskan location, but all can partner with us in this incredible ministry. Expansion and operation of Camp Nahshii takes tremendous resources, with Fuel, Food and Supplies consisting of our top expenditures, reaching these Native young people is a daunting task. If you looked into the eyes of these kids, you would agree with me in saying, “they are worth it!” As mentioned in my previous blog, we are in great need of a new sound system. Without this necessary equipment the diverse ministry we do in village, cities and camps etc will be much less effective and in many cases nonexistent. Greetings from North Pole Alaska! Our TGM Team were collectively and personally blessed with the opportunity to minister in several States during our lower 48 tour. We took our “Reaching Alaskan” message to church services, youth groups, Master’s Commission International Network conference, university classes etc. mobilizing Work Teams and Missions Teams to come to this great State and join our vision to reach the lost of Alaska. I have such a great appreciation for all of you who were interceding for us during this trip, the Lord was most definitely with us every moment of this tour. There were times the Lord said drive, and so this team of 12 drove, knowing we had no destination or place to lay our head, and God would literally connect us with a ministry location, home base, opportunities, exactly what we needed at the time. As we traveled through 11 States, the Lord our provider, took great care of all our expenses during this two month ministry tour! God is so Good! Not only did Father God provide for us, He connected us with ministers and ministries that have the same heart and passion to reach the lost and hurting. The presence of God moved in our services in a powerful way! The Holy Spirit used our team to bring healing to so many people, as well as ignite a passion for missions in their hearts. Several people we ministered to expressed that they “felt awakened” in their spirit! This tour ended with doors opening up at the Jim Bakker Show. We filmed three programs that aired in over 200 Nations! We had three scheduled ministry opportunities in our first week home, and the next week jumped into our 11th Winter Xtreme! This Youth Camp has continued to provide an environment where this generation finds a real God encounter! A defining moment that connects them with their purpose and destiny! And this year was no different, we were blessed with the opportunity to minister to young people from all over the interior! Let me take a moment to share with you a great opportunity. If you are a TGM Partner who desires to meet a urgent need, then you can be our answer to prayer. TGM is in great need of a professional sound system! This system would be used in all of our winter camps, summer camps, village ministry and many other youth worship events during the year. The need of a new Sound System is timely, as we literally need a system for our very next youth outreach! We have professional estimates for a system designed for our unique needs, the total cost is approx $12,000 for a complete sounds system package that will fulfill the needs of our ministry diversity.
